The Mental Health Crisis Facing the Children from the Northern Rivers

As the Northern Rivers community rebuilds after unprecedented flooding, local schools are trying to provide a stable learning environment for students after losing everything. While children often show resilience immediately following natural disasters studies show up to one in five students report moderate to severe symptoms after the event.

Cathy Gilespie from Evans Head Pre-School explains in the video what children have experienced and the impact it has had on them.
