Vanuatu - Two Cyclones and an Earthquake hit the island of Vanuatu
Convoy of Hope are working with partners on the ground to source and distribute urgently needed food to the community.
Initial reports from the Vanuatu’s National Disaster Management Office indicate about 80% of the country’s population has been affected.

Sydney & Southeast, NSW – Convoy of Hope is responding to widespread flooding across the East Coast of Australia during historic rainfall that has devastated the region.
Our team is on the way to assess the needs of flood affected communities in Sydney and Southeast NSW.
Government officials in 23 LGAs have declared these floods a natural disaster, with 102 evacuation orders currently in place. Approximately 50,000 residents are affected by the rising water, which forecasts say will not fully recede for at least a week.

Monto, QLD – A Rural Compassion Field Team is out and about with our Mobile Operations Centre!
Trade specialists have volunteered their gifts and talents to the Monto community this week. “The man who lives here has been wanting to build a pergola to shade the intense summer heat but was not able to,” said Joel A’Bell, Oceania Regional Leader.
Thanks to your generosity a Convoy of Hope Field Team has helped build the pergola in Monto.

Gayndah, QLD – We’re headed West to spread hope with our new Mobile Operations Centre!
We’ve just touched down in Gayndah which is the final destination of our trip! We’re connecting with the community through a dinner barbecue in the local park. Later tonight we have a church service and a youth outreach pool party. We head home tomorrow.

Mundubbera, QLD – We’re headed West to spread hope with our new Mobile Operations Centre!
We are in Munduberra! We’ve been partnering with local Organisations here, and helping in the community. We’ve occupied primary schools, youth groups and homes bringing hope to the people of Mundubbera.

Toowoomba, QLD – We’re headed West to spread hope with our new Mobile Operations Centre!
Today was our first day of community outreach in Toowoomba. In partnership with the GSM team, we populated 3 different state schools and served homes of refugees. We’re now doing a community barbecue partnering with New Hope Church.

Toowoomba, QLD – We’re headed West to spread hope with our new Mobile Operations Centre!
We just arrived in Toowoomba, Queensland, partnering with Glow School of Ministry on their missions trip. We join with the local community to serve them and provide assistance where needed. The first night in Toowoomba we’re sending a team to the local Youth group, to interact with the school-ages students and provide them with dinner. While we’re here, we’re also visiting multiple local schools to do grounds work, and cleaning streets in refugee areas. A team is being sent to an Aged-Care facility where we will provide entertainment and assist where needed. The last place we’re visiting in Toowoomba is the Mental Health Clinic to do office clean-up. We can’t wait to partner with the local community!

We’re currently partnering with Glow Student Ministry to spread hope in rural communities across Queensland. At the moment we’re on our way to Toowoomba!

Logan, QLD – We’re taking hope on the road with our new Mobile Operations Centre! Have a look inside!
We saw first-hand how firefighters, SES, and other first responders are out in the elements when disaster strikes. With this trailer, we’ll help provide a space for planning, resting and restoring hope.
Not only will the trailer be used to respond to disasters but also through our other initiatives.
Our program manager Kevin said it best:
“There are a hundred and one things we’ll be able to do with the trailer. It will help bridge connections with churches, communities, and organisations.”
The trailer will assist in distributing plants through our Regrow Response, hosting Community Events across Australia, as well as a base for our field teams.
We’ve been waiting to share this with you for quite some time! We’re so thankful for your support as we work to see hope multiplied in our region. Join the response and help get our trailer out in the field.
