Community Engagement
Poverty and hunger are equal opportunity problems. The world’s largest cities grapple with the same issues as local and regional communities. We help communities effectively discover and implement solutions to the issues they face.

The needs in neighbourhoods are real. So are the solutions.
Poverty and hunger have gained a devastating edge in urban neighbourhoods and rural communities alike. Through Community Engagement, Convoy resources, empowers, and partners with local leaders and churches through training, mentoring, and coaching. Convoy believes that increased presence and partnership will help strengthen and enrich entire cities, towns, and neighbourhoods.
I am not the same person as I was before this event. Today changed me.
Your kindness, transforming lives.
Poverty and hunger are equal opportunity problems. The same issues the world’s largest cities grapple with also confront local mayors and town councils. Convoy of Hope helps local leadership more effectively discover and implement solutions.
Serving
When local organisations, civic leaders, and churches work together, the combined effort maximises what can be accomplished. Strategic interactions include:
• Delivering cases of sports drink to the local fire station.
• Mobilising volunteers to serve in local schools.
• Building access ramps for people with disabilities.
Resourcing
Convoy of Hope provides leaders with products to help meet needs in their communities. Whether it’s shoes for kids in school, paper products for first responders, or seeds to plant community gardens, the resources you help provide can address specific requests from local agencies. See below for other distributions you can support.
• Backpacks
• Water and sports drinks
• Food
• Cleaning Supplies
Training
Convoy of Hope offers training sessions to a growing number of community groups interested in meeting local needs. Convoy of Hope’s teams are giving on-site training in towns around the world. Every year, local churches and other agencies receive instruction designed to help them lend a hand where most needed. Training sessions focus on key concepts such as:
• Responding effectively to natural disasters.
• Identifying and addressing community needs.
• Working with local leaders to implement solutions.
• Conducting a point of distribution event.
Hope in every community
With the help of local partnerships and loyal volunteers, Convoy of Hope is bringing communities together.
