Give safe water. Multiply hope.

About Water For Life Day

Millions of children across Africa and around the world are drinking water that makes them sick, keeps them out of school and traps their families in poverty.

Your $25 today delivers safe drinking water to one person who desperately needs it. And your $100 could transform life for an entire family.

Your gift helps fund safe water solutions tailored to each community’s greatest need – whether that’s drilling new wells and bores, repairing broken pumps, installing water filters and sanitation systems, or a combination of all three.

Alongside every water solution, Convoy of Hope provides WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) training for children and communities, plus agricultural support and other development initiatives that multiply the impact of safe water across the whole community.

Thanks to you, children will stay healthy, get back to school and be freed from hours of walking kilometres for water. Families will grow food. Whole villages will thrive.

So thank you for giving your best gift today on Water for Life Day…

… you’re multiplying hope, one drop at a time.

Who is Convoy of Hope?

Convoy of Hope is a humanitarian, faith-based organisation founded in 1994 with a mission to bring help and hope to people who are impoverished, hurting, and in need. Since then, more than 300 million people across the world have been served through Convoy's work. Convoy of Hope opened its Australian operational hub in 2019, and today works across the Oceania region and beyond – responding to disasters and running long-term community development programs in some of the world's most vulnerable places.

Is Convoy of Hope an Australian organisation?

Convoy of Hope Australia is the Australian arm of Convoy of Hope, an international humanitarian organisation founded in the United States in 1994. The Australian office opened in 2019 and operates as a field hub, resourcing partners across the Oceania region and running global programs. Your gift is received and managed by Convoy of Hope Australia.

How does my $25 provide safe water?

Your $25 gift Water for Life Day gift contributes to Convoy of Hope's community development programs, which pools donations to fund safe water solutions where the need is greatest. Because Convoy works at scale – serving entire communities – your gift goes further than you might think. On average, a single well can serve around 1,000 people, and with proper care, it will keep flowing for generations.

What kinds of water solutions does Convoy of Hope provide?

Every community is different – so rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, Convoy of Hope assesses each situation and provides the most sustainable solution for that specific context. This could include:

Drilling new wells and bores – providing a permanent, community-owned water source where none exists
Repairing broken pumps and existing wells – restoring safe water access to communities whose infrastructure has failed
Installing water filters and sanitation systems – where wells or bores aren't possible, filtration and sanitation systems make existing water sources safe
WASH training – Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene education for children and communities, building healthy habits that protect against waterborne illness
Agricultural water support – helping farmers access water for crops and livestock, so families can grow their own food

But safe water doesn't arrive in isolation. Alongside every water solution, your gift also supports broader community development initiatives – including agricultural training, women's empowerment programs, and children's feeding – so the impact of clean water compounds across every area of community life.

How long do these water solutions last?

A well that is properly installed and maintained can serve a community for decades. That's why your gift doesn't just fund infrastructure – it funds training too. Every community receives hands-on upkeep training so they can care for their water source long after the construction team has moved on. It's about lasting change, not short- term relief.

Will I receive a receipt for my gift?

Yes. You will receive an official tax receipt by email immediately after your donation is processed. Please check your inbox (and junk/spam folder if needed). If you don't receive your receipt within 24 hours, please contact us.
