Nutritious Meals Power Benjamin’s Hard Work

Tanzania Reported by Convoy of Hope

Benjamin is a dedicated student who works hard in school and helps his parents with chores at home. In addition to his studies, he enjoys painting and dancing.

Benjamin particularly enjoys his classes in maths, science, and English. Recently, he’s been learning about agriculture and applying his new skills in the school garden.

Through a partnership with Convoy of Hope, Benjamin and his classmates receive daily, nutritious meals at school. The school garden supports this program by providing fresh fruits and vegetables for the students.

“It was so hard for me and my fellow students because there was no assurance of getting meals at our school in the past,” Benjamin said. “Afterward, we felt so grateful for the meal provision from Convoy of Hope.”

Consistent access to nutrition helps students focus on their education and provides a foundation for their future. By supporting school-based feeding programs, Convoy of Hope works alongside communities to ensure children have the resources they need to grow and learn.

“The food helps me focus mostly on my studies,” Benjamin said. “My dream is to work hard in school to eventually join the army in the future when I grow up. I want to serve, protect, and safeguard my country.”

With access to reliable nutrition and education, Benjamin is working toward his goals and a resilient future.
